Service & Repairs

Ultimate BM have the ability to service and maintain your vehicle to the exact standards recommended by the manufacturer.  With the introduction of block exemption, you are able to have your vehicle serviced outside of the main dealer network without affecting your manufacturers warranty.

We follow the maintenance guidelines set by the manufacturer.  We only use original equipment parts and approved oils and lubricants.  The service record is updated either with the service book or the online record with BMW, which is then displayed within the iDrive system.

Carrying out regular servicing is extremely important at helping the longevity of your engine.  This is an example of an oil filter from an overdue oil service verses what it should look like!  This situation is becoming a lot more common and causes some very expensive repairs, usually resulting in new engines.

The main responsibility of engine oil is to provide lubrication but is also involved in cleaning and cooling the engine.  It absorbs soot particles, fuel, water and has to deal with extreme temperature changes.  If not replaced in good time, the oil will degrade to the point it's viscosity will change and no longer provide the required lubrication to critical engine components.

If you have any doubts on your vehicle's service history then I would recommend booking in for a service as soon as possible.

Automatic Gearbox Servicing

Gears changes not smooth any more?

This could be due to an overdue gearbox service.  BMW claim your automatic transmission oil is 'lifetime'.  However, the actual manufacturer of the gearbox, ZF, recommends the gearbox is serviced at 100,000km (approx 60,000 miles).

This service is a replacement of the sump which contains the filter and replacement transmission fluid.

Prices start at 390+VAT.  Please contact us to discuss further.
